I Have a Soul: The Diary

On February 26th, 2011 I started a journey through the sky. Every day I take a picture. It doesn’t matter where I am. It doesn’t matter what time it is. It doesn’t matter what I use. Only the sky matters.
Fascinated by the different colors and shapes and seeking to find the most beautiful things in the most ordinary places, I began the one thousand day project. A simple look up breaks the routine: the sky can never be the same, being the privileged place where the simplest changes can be noticed. The shades of blue and grey, the dance of the clouds and the flight of birds cleaving the air, moments are recorded and captured through the camera’s lens.
This project started as a celebration to a special lady’s 95th birthday but it quickly grew into an obsession, an obsession that lasted for one thousand days.
Through these one thousand days I found myself in different places, meeting different people, feeling different emotions. The only details I recorded was where I was, what time it was, and the camera I used.
I will never be the same again, the sky touched me.
