DOCUMENT DESIGN

The new IAM Identity Database system was designed for the IAM weekend conference to introduce the topic of Post-labels.
The technological advantages in bioengineering are allowing the newly formed bio-internet to be modelled after the digital internet which has successfully abolished most label related problematic. As we are moving towards a post label-society which does not identify individuals by inborn characteristics – such as ethnicity, geographical location, gender, age, etc. –the new system has been designed to keep up with those social changes. The IAM Identification Database is designed to identify individuals solely by their actions, eliminating discrimination and the ability to act restrictively towards the individual in question. As the old definitions of labels no longer apply to the current state of our society, the identity database is removing all inborn information from the system allowing the actions of the individual to dictate their future.
The project was carried out as a collaboration with Futures Studio UAL and IAM – Internet Age Media.
