ICARUS

Basingstoke College of Technology - Art Foundation - Body Project This was a project that had to develop, starting from a body related ethos. I chose to look at flesh and body damage and decided to relate it to the legend of Icarus and how he got burnt by the sun. I then placed myself into the design process and decided to make it a bit of a personal project. With only skills from Art and no fashion experience what so ever, I created the garment to the best ability that I could. I styled the garment with a Red Faux Leather mask, recycled from an old handbag and created by myself; along with a Black Fedora to hold the end of the falling garment. I also used red gels on the lights to create a contrast with the darkness.
