Ideasoneurope.eu provides individuals and groups with an easy-to-use and highly customisable blog. Since I began working on the site in 2009 it now hosts over 50 blogs from across the globe all focused on European Studies. The site receives over 7,000 sessions per month and has almost 10,000 followers on Twitter.
I have iteratively worked to improve the site over the course of five years, incorporating suggestions from users where appropriate. One of the most difficult aspects of developing the site has been to attract new blogs. Improvements to the help section, the design of individual blogs as well as marketing through channels such as Twitter has helped to overcome this challenge.
As well as developing the site I am also responsible for community management. I have sought to initiate good relationships with bloggers and their feedback has been invaluable.
