Identitie(s) (Pt.1)

Identite(s) is a diploma project at LISAA – L'Institut Supérieur des Arts Appliqués -Identity project for Musée national de histoire de l'immigration, a museum for immigration history of France at Porte Dorée, Paris.

This project explores the idea as well as the construction of the identity. This topic was a personal topic of mine as when i grew up i came in contact with many immigrant families or second, third generation immigrant families, including my cousins and very close friends. Personally for me the idea of who you are has always been a very interesting question, and I am very interested in knowing how these people identified themselves.
Identity itself is a broad term and can be examined in different aspects, but I am most interested in how people create their own identity in interaction with their multi-cultural background and in multicultural societies like Paris.
