Il Trittico (The Triptych) is the title of a collection of three one-act operas about death and love: Il tabarro, Suor Angelica, and Gianni Schicchi, by Giacomo Puccini.
The aim was to redesign its libretto, first of all to point out this anonymous medium, also to do exercises in style, giving to the words a symbolic value and an immediate, funny visual representation, as concrete poetry used to do. The experiment leads the whole text and its emotionality to its importance with simple modern means of expression, like urban dictionary, comics, or even emoticons.
