The Brief
The challenge this brief set was to tell someone’s or something’s story in the form of an illustrated biography. The challenge I set myself was to bring to life the story of a car, the Ford GT40. By using visual language of the American motor industry to celebrate the cars history.
The Solution
My solution to the brief was to create a series of signs/plates to tell the story of the Ford GT40 winning its first race at Le Mans 50 years ago. Using the visual language surrounding American motoring and petrol stations of the time period, I created 3 info graphics telling significant parts of the story but also highlighting the cars performance, personality and heritage. My aim was to tell a different part of the story with every element of my design.
