  • Ecem Bocan

As part of our interview series celebrating Women In History month we had the pleasure of welcoming our final guest, leading fashion illustrator and image maker Elyse Blackshaw. Elyse is often found illustrating live during London Fashion Week documenting the best designers London has to offer and also creates inspiring work for digital media and features for publication. She has over 5 years teaching experience and hosts interactive workshops making live illustrations and offering tips and video demos on how to illustrate using digital media. Elyse has delivered creative workshops for Samsung and UK art colleges including the Royal College of Art. One of Elyse’s missions is to use fashion illustration as a tool to discuss issues surrounding consumerism and landfill waste in the fashion industry as well as wanting to integrate workshops that allow young people to think through making and to encourage positive change for the future. Inspired by daring colours and bold patterns as well as environmental and sustainability factors within the industry, Elyse wants to push the boundaries of fashion illustration as a communication tool to provoke a conversation.
