The client's brief for inCarlow magazine was simple yet challenging—create a print publication that would showcase Carlow, its people and its natural attractions, and yet rise high above the standard set by promotional magazines in terms of its vision, content, look and feel. Meeting with the diverse group of stakeholders right at the start, ALHAUS workshopped the personality of the magazine with the client team—establishing the key qualities that would help us meet the brief and surpass expectations. By exploring the type of reader with whom they were hoping to engage, we ensured that both the content and brand identity of the publication would resonate. This enabled us to quickly grasp the ambition behind the project and set about turning conceptual ideas into reality.
