"You’ll know Tim and Barry if you’re a fan of grime. The duo changed the face of UK underground music forever. Since the early 2000s they gave the public access to the raw energy and talent of emerging grime MCs, videoing freestyles by Skepta, Giggs, Tempa T, Chipmunk and many more for Tim and Barry TV.
In 2009 they launched ‘Just Jam’, a regular event where they invited DJs to play records in front of a blue screen. T&B paired the tunes with their visual mixing, giving the sets an imaginative and freewheeling vibe.
8 years later and Tim and Barry TV is back to document the upcoming talent in the UK grime scene, such as Jammz, Novelist, Belly Squad and more, yet working in new territory and with some added features that we haven’t seen before. This Saturday they’re also taking over the Barbican Centre for the second time with ‘JUST JAM RELOADED’.
Barry was out shooting D Double E for an upcoming freestyle to be released soon on their YouTube channel so we sat down with Tim to talk about the upcoming show and their plans for Tim and Barry TV."
