Understanding the research focus and processes of previous studies in computational knitting, the aim of this dissertation is to introduce a new approach to create irregular knitting patterns of any 3D geometry, using a re-meshing tool and a crawling algorithm as a segmentation method; thus, resulting in simulated stitched geometries.
