ITV - Never Ending Summer

Illustrations and layout design for ITV. Content to be used as part of a new show titled Never Ending Summer. With longer working hours, kids being ferried to multiple after school activities and gadgets keeping people from chatting to each other even when they are in the same room – it’s no wonder that a recent survey revealed the average family only spends 7 hours of quality time together every week. The summer holiday is the only time of the year when most families get to relax and reconnect with each other. So what if instead of just one week in the sun you could have six? The dream could become a reality in Never Ending Summer – a hugely entertaining new format that brings together escapism, reality and competition like never before. I created my own bespoke illustrations for this project. My thought process was that these can really present the idea of escapism and send your mind away to the destination whilst prompting a smile and a happy thought, really losing yourself in the blissfulness. Throughout, but mainly on the cover itself I’ve tried to represent the diversity of the cast whilst showing the six families. And when you get inside the document it really hammers home the luxury setting. The type face and colour palette are all chosen specifically to set the idyllic scene for the show. The style and the illustrations can easily be used throughout the show itself along with various advertising campaigns to create a really strong brand identity.
