ITV Studios Day Out: Internal Away Day

ITV Studios is one of the world’s leading international TV distribution, home entertainment, merchandising and licensing businesses. It leads the way in international television distribution, with worldwide consumer products too. Audiences around the world are watching shows and films from the prestigious catalogue of over 40,000 hours across a range of genres.
This annual day out is an opportunity for staff to network and reflect on their yearly successes. Hosted by Ruth Berry, Managing Director of ITV Studios, Global Distribution division, the event aims to encourage colleagues to gather together, be inspired by talks from internal and external speakers, receive key business updates, mix with teams that they may not usually work with, and be rewarded for their work over the past year.
The audience is approx. 120 guests spanning a range of departments within ITV Studios, across marketing, sales, research, finance, and the senior leadership team. Some guests even travel from international offices in Australia, Hong Kong, Canada, America and across Europe to attend the event. There are a number of different divisions and there is a focus on acting as one team, creating the best cross-department relationships and joined up thinking.
Taking place at Chiswick House in the summer of 2019, the all-day event included a business update from the MD of ITV Studios (Global Distribution), followed by keynote speeches and interviews with inpriational and educational speakers, a larger-than-life team building activity that had the whole department booming and an award ceremony and social to encourage togetherness and celebration.
Despite a low budget for the brief, the event scored it's highest ever results in the feedback survey, with the Senior Project Manager of the department noting;
"I don't know how anything will top it next year!"
