Jacob Hodgkinson gained a passion for photography at the age of 16 when he bought his first 35mm SLR camera and documented the club scene in Brighton 1997-2004. He later located to London to study advertising and refine his photographic passions. Jacob moved to Tokyo in 2007 where he assisted on advertising and fashion projects for the likes of Numero, Nike, Converse etc. Since 2010 he has been working freelance and has quickly gained status in Tokyo with domestic clients whilst also being a ‘Tokyo contact’ for US and EU based magazines. He shoots regularly for Vivienne Westwood, Surface magazine, Commons&Sense, SOMA (USA) Esquire UK, Vogues Nippon, RedBulletin etc. He currently splits his time between Tokyo and London.
