As part of a TV ad campaign for Jaguar Cars, I was hired by Tangerine Films to edit down two films they had created. The original films were commissioned for online use only, but due to their popularity, we were asked to create 30 second versions for US TV.
Having a client based on the West Coast of America, late December, created a number of logistical issues which we had to overcome. But fortunately the large time difference meant that we could edit in the day and wait for feedback overnight.
Editing down 2 minute films into 30 seconds whilst maintaining the story and continuity is an art - shaving a frame off here and there became necessary to bring them in under their allotted duration.
The final films were graded and the sound mixed for 5.1 (a necessity in the US).
