John Lewis Delivery Packaging

The brief was set by D&AD to reinvent John Lewis delivery packaging. The challenge was to create engaging, aspirational home delivery experience fit for the modern age of connected, digital native shoppers. To create a design that is visually engaging and inspiring, to create an emotional link between customers and packaging that makes John Lewis their first choice for online shopping. The solution we came up with was to create a storage system that encourage the customers to use the boxes as storage at their home or office.

This sustainable packaging is elevated above the traditional model - to a truly environmentally friendly. Closed loop model such that the packaging is created with renewable energy, uses renewable or recycled materials and is recycled or upcycled at the end of it’s usage to become something new. Thus, it never reaches the landfill, but is looped back into a new life cycle.
