Josefin Slab Type Specimen

  • Hayley Cantor
The brief was to design a luxury type specimen based on any font of our choice from google fonts, providing it had 4+ font families. I chose Josefin Slab for its relation to the Bauhaus movement. I decided to design a practical piece (A6) with one side of the specimen information based, and the other entirely experimental, allowing designers and typographers to use the individual index cards directly with their work, compare colours, weights and styles directly. The specimen includes applications of the type in both text and abstract form, with acetate overlays and full glyph maps.
