The new weekly “Junior Argus” creates an easy to read and visibly engaging way for the younger generation to access the news. The objective is to help children aged between 12 and 14 become interested in finding out what is going on in the world, and locally – it also aims to create a habit for news. This will help with the transition to more traditional newspapers once they get older, when a degree of knowledge is assumed.
The Junior Argus is targeted towards 12–14 year olds, living in Brighton, whose parents buy or subscribe to The Argus Newspaper. The Junior Argus will be found each week inside the Argus, as a mini newspaper. It will come as a free supplement, however schools will be able to aquire it separately for their pupils. The Argus is available in all convenient, corner shops and supermarkets around the Brighton and Hove area. Digital versions will also be available via the Argus website.
