KAH

  • Victoria Mórtola
KAH was born in December 2011, in Lanús, Buenos Aires. More exactly, in Argentine photographer Matías Maroevic's house, when the exhibition of the photography workshop by Guillermo Ueno was being held.
It first began as an acoustic duet formed by Mailén Gayoso and Julieta Ruiz, who continued playing in various places. The duet performed at the gallery Pasto for the closing of Remisería Taller's photography workshop and in underground events that took place in the most hidden places of the city (Casa rosa, Isla flotante, among others).
Vicki Mórtola, became part of the band as bassist. She had met Julieta who had been looking for female musicians to start a band with increasing girrrrrrrrl power. And last but not least, Rocío Alem, Julieta's high school best friend, joined the band as their drummer, she replaced Satori Guillermina, who was the first drummer that recorded the drums for their first EP, in 2014 .
They released their first EP "Kanpai" on march 2014. It had great reviews around the world: Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, México, Chile, Perú, Costa Rica, El Salvador, EE.UU. among others. They played live in venues such as Club V, M.O.D., Roxy, C.C. Matienzo, Niceto Club and enjoyed their first tour in Montevideo in 2013. They are planning nowadays their tour in Chile 2014 and their european tour 2015.
