KCL Literary Journal: Issue No. 7 (Special Edition – Summer 2017)

  • Caroline Roseberry Koktvedgaard

I was fortunate enough to be a member of the editorial team in my second and third year of studying at King's College London (2016/2017). The publication itself is a biannual edition that features both student writing and artwork. As an editor, I worked closely with the Editor-in-Chief of Prose Editor of the journal to publish the first bi-annual edition of the journal (Issues: February 2016). I was part of the student editorial staff, and my responsibilities included commissioning, editing, and proofreading numerous student pieces (Issues: Fall 2015, Fall 2017, and Spring 2017). In my final year, after two years at the journal, I submitted pieces of my own writing, which were accepted for publication in the journal. This led to the publication of several of my pieces in the Spring 2017 issue, as well as the Diaries issue, which was commissioned by the Centre for Life Writing Research in May 2017. My poetry collection, 'The iPhone Poems', was the subject of a panel discussion at the Diary Fest, held at the Inigo Rooms at King's College London. Inlcuded in this project are the covers of each of the issues, as well as examples of my writing featured in the journal. You can visit the journal's website at www.kcljournal.co.uk.
