  • Hock Chuan Tong

This design is based on cross-culture on how is presented in different culture. In Japanese culture, Koi is a symbol of masculinity due to its calmness and spirit energy yet in an elegance way, while as in Western culture represent masculinity by using the symbol of lion for their strong territorial dominance and violence. The design of postcards is archived by two different illustration techniques and they come with two designs; the "Yin Yang" and "Reflection". The koi is presented in simplistic idea, while as the lion is presented in more realistic looks. Box is made by timber wood inspired by the Japanese culture and the postcard is more towards Western layout which creates contrast from the idea of cross-culture.
