Kustom City

I had a lot of fun with this project. Centred on the world of “Kustomization“ or “tuning“, I developed a systematic and architectural approach based on the modification and customisation of automobile parts. The possibilities that arrose allowed me to create an infrastructure similar to a micro-city, a kustom-city. This city was built along three principles:
- Re-appropriation and application of Kustomisation styles such as Donk or Sleeper
- Assembly
- Territorial and contextual impact
My references spanned from old time hot rods and rat rods, through Hell’s Angels, to Hans Hollein and Kowloon City.
