Lampi

An alternative S.A.D light. S.A.D ( Seasonal Affective Disorder is a type of winter depression that effects roughly 7% of the UK population and more in Scandinavia every winter between September and April. It is thought that this is due to the lack of sunlight that we are exposed too). Inspired by Scandinavia, where Seasonal Affective Disorder is most common, Lampi uses light which changes in colour temperature during the therapy mode. Lampi also has a study mode, so that it can be used during the rest of the year when it is not needed to help with the symptoms of S.A.D. Using a persona of a nurse who works night shifts, I was able to work with a friend of mine to create a S.A.D light tailored to this lifestyle.
