This is a practice project for getting some experience in Nuke.
I shot the video at London City Airport and tracked the camera movement in PFTrack but also used Nuke’s tracker for replacing some parts of the plane. The parts that are too thin like winglets were getting too much colour from the bright areas of original background and making the scene look “fake” with the new environment. So, I tracked the winglets and replaced them with a freeze frame.
I tried to make the colour grading to be neutral and realistic rather than dramatic. I think toned down green and yellow worked well for a calm sunset.
