Last.fm's The Soundtrack of Your Life

  • Alberto Serna
Music social network Last.fm has lost the popularity it once enjoyed among music fans. Between 2002 and 2009, it boasted 30 million active members who joined it while in their teens and early 20s. However most of them have stopped logging in and interacting with the platform.
In order to bring inactive members back to Last.fm, I've concepted 'The Soundtrack of Your Life' - a new feature that uses the platform's two most powerful tools: Last.fm's "scrobbling"system and the power of music to bring back past memories. TSOYL is a new way of experiencing music based on your own life.
