Launch of Stayy with Hostmaker

The brief

We were tasked by Hostmaker, the award-winning home rentals management service, to invent a new brand destined to help people looking for mid-term lets to find the perfect home. Somewhere in between short lets, a segment dominated by Airbnb or HomeAway, and long lets, where more traditional real estate agents are battling with newcomers.

The team

We pulled resources from our diverse in-house teams to form a multi-disciplinary squad with representatives from leadership, marketing, product, UX & UI, graphic design, account management, daily operations & guest experience.
We started thinking up the full user journey, from the very beginning - expression of the need - to the end - the post-stay experience. Building on our collective experiences from past industries and existing specialties was crucial to look at all aspects of the journey, and anticipate most of the potential issues, as well as where the gap in the market was.

The brand: Stayy with Hostmaker

The thinking rapidly converged towards the concept of Stayy with Hostmaker, linked up with the existing Hostmaker brand, while appealing to the essence of our offer: an exceptional stay, with a twist.
We evolved to brand positioning after a full on market analysis, which then flowed into the mission and the values. Once done, several creative routes were explored in terms of visual identity, which was firmed up and transpoed into the logic of a UX and UI languages, wireframes, and of course product specifications and dvelopment.
