This project is graduation collection from London College of Fashion BA(Hons) Fashion Design Technology : Womenswear.
Memories leave traces and they lead to other traces in many areas including history, culture, society and arts. My aim is to pursuit beauty from the transparence of these traces. One day, I found textures on pavement stone and thought that even these stones have their own memories and internal compositions with layers and histories. This gave me an initial
inspiration.
Everything, everyone, every nation and culture has its own memories and histories. These memories and histories have been and are still affected by the previous ones. All these things come to me as transparent layers, as an individual layer works as an insight into another inner layer. When we carefully look inside these layers, we can find features from the past to the
present that are translated into modern and future designs.
