In team with WWF Central Africa and the Centre de Creation de Mode du Cameroon this project was created to promote a multimedia campaign to defend the rights of the Baaka ethnic group , who are forced out of the forest because of deforestation and relocated in villages in which they encounter several obvious problems, which include shelter, education of children and health.
Aim of the project was to create awareness of their culture and helping them adapt in their new environment by using their culture heritage.
Le BAUM is the traditional cloth from the Pigmey's tradition made from natural fibres from the trees of the forest.
A group of young fashion designers from Yaounde were selected to design and produce a collection of unique pieces using this traditional fabric.
