Diversity will mean different things to different people.

Which is why for Diversity Matters Awareness Week the focus was to highlight the lack of diverse representation in the Education sector which is also reprective of the creative industries. The theme for #DMAW16 at UAL (University of the Arts London) was on race matters; “Let’s Talk About Race18th – 23rd April 2016.
I produced a short film asking students and staff what diversity means to them, and how it’s reflected in their learning environment? It was previewed on the 21st April at the panel event “why does race matter in my learning environment?
I also collaborated with illustrator Docas Creates to produce colourful illustrations with quotations based on the participants from the short film. Illustrated greeting card, and post cards available for sale. Please email me for enquiries kai@diversity-matters.org.uk

My dissertation "Evaluating the use of videography as a platform for discussing race matters of BAME staff and students at the University of the Arts London" is based on this project using qualitative research.
