I'm Karen Stanley, a fine art and fashion photographer based in London. Working with digital and analog combinations and mixed media, I create work that has a textured and vintage feel. This project is a portrait series of LLedir shot in London on 120mm film. A Northern Irish drag queen inspired by Marie Antoinette, she comes from a place where being openly queer often invites scrutiny and judgement. This project celebrates and captures her journey, shedding light on the transformative power of drag and self expression. We shot at a Renaissance themed flat in Kensington, and the technicals used here are medium format 120mm film, and Hollywood style golden age lighting.
