Levi’s and Doug Aitken’s travelling arts project, Station to Station was a unique project that over the course of three weeks in September 2013, a train traveled from New York City to San Francisco, making nine stops at train stations across the country with artists and musicians will be travelling across the US. Beck, Savages, Twin Shadow, Kenneth Anger were just few of the fantastic artists involved in the project.
Station to Station connected leading figures and underground creators from the worlds of art, music, food, literature, and film for a series of cultural interventions and site-specific happenings. The train, designed as a moving, kinetic light sculpture, broadcasted unique content and experiences to a global audience.
I was asked to create a mood film for MTV to document the LA - San Francisco leg of the journey which was tres fun. :)
