Background:

If you ask a Londoner where he or she is from, they won’t say London. They say Camden. Or Peckham. Or Knightsbridge. London is united by its differences – unique in its diversity and the way it is defined by a multitude of different areas with a unique mindsets and style.
For their new campaign, a high profile sports and fashion brand are commissioning a series of films to showcase the diversity of London’s style through a range of local lifestyle and sporting influencers.
We’ve selected various talent and people from different areas of London who we’d like to be  representative of their neighborhood for a new campaign that will feature Londoners with a strong sense of style and identity to inspire other Londoners for new looks.

What we’re after:

We are looking for young, exciting film-makers who can bring to life some of the diverse locations in London with a film that showcases your area with a local influencer and apparel.
The locations we are looking to showcase are:
Lewisham
Peckham
Knightsbridge
Forest Gate
As the filmmaker, if you’re from that area of London, or have a particular connection, insight or angle on those areas, we want to hear from you!
As a first step, we would like to see a short pitch about how you would showcase one of these areas (preferably your neighbourhood) and their influencer in your film. It needn’t be just about them, you can include any insight you may have about the area and highlight any key locations or even local faces you would want to feature.
In your pitch you should include examples of your previous work ,we are especially looking for experience in fashion and lifestyle and sport. Any references you think would give the look and feel of the film you want to make with tonal references.
You can pitch for more than one film but if you are not from that area specifically you should have insider knowledge of the great places there and be able to develop that knowledge into your film. Please also ensure that you label your submission clearly with the neighbourhood(s) and local faces you are pitching on.
We would like to hear about any experience or passion you have in sport/fashion/style videography and creating films that showcase apparel and footwear products, demonstrate a range of fashion ‘looks’ or have been specifically created to inspire viewers to buy clothes/footwear.
Please note this is a London-only shoot.

Final Deliverables:

1 x 15” assemble edit only plus 4 x 6-10” look films
Final edit and cut-downs will be created by the host agency.

Process & Timings:
As a first step we are just after a short pitch with your selected area and how you would showcase that area, product and shoot your film. You should include any visual references you would want to feature in the film. As a director you should also include links to showreels and relevant work.
Please note: There is no treatment phased on this project. Shortlisted filmmakers will be invited for a phone call to discuss their approach. We will endeavour to match the filmmaker to their chosen area, however if you are selected, you may be invited to shoot a different area/influencer to that you have pitched on.
Your proposal should consider the budget available as a fixed cost as you will be expected to deliver on your pitch. The fixed cost budget will need to cover all production elements including usage, production and post-production.

The deadline for submitting your pitch is 23:59 PST, 30th August 2018.
