Connecting Liverpool
Liverpool City Councils challenge to us was how do you enhance a visitors experience of a city when they don’t always know what to expect, or where to visit first? Our approach was to reassure, inform and direct them – clearly and consistently through the development of a fully integrated system of fingerposts, orientation hubs and interpretation panels. With the creation of a bespoke mapping system and supporting visual language, the Connecting Liverpool system was a key component in the winning bid for the 2008 European Capital of Culture award.
