LONDON'S REFLECTION * Adidas concept design comp entry* "The Home of London Originals"

  • Victoria Monari

Adidas London x GUAP Mag; Teamed together and asked creatives to brainstorm and come up with a concept design which could be featured on their new London (Carnaby) Storefront on Foubert’s Place. This was my entry for the competition: (competition is closed now) My concept design is titled "LONDON'S REFLECTION" * Features two different versions of the font: AdihausDIN . Being a Londoner, an immigrant and also a Black woman I believe that growing up in London allowed me to see myself reflected in many parts of the city. Due to the huge amount of diversity in places which I grew up near, and still, live near till today; such as Brixton and Stockwell I never felt out of place (always felt my identity reflected in the spaces I often visited). What makes me a true London original is realising that diversity should always strengthen and unite a group of people rather than divide them. I believe a huge sense of diversity can be felt through the photos of these party-goers. A sense of diversity which is London's true reflection. Ultimately being a Londoner to me is not about division it is about inclusion. All photos and layout is credited to me. (Taken on film in 2018 ; before social distancing)
