Lost In Time

The full collections of museums are always so much larger and more eclectic than the comparatively small selection of items on display to the public. I decided that a photographic project based around the 'hidden' items in a museum's stores could be incredibly compelling, both visually and educationally; I think many people are unaware of the work that goes on behind the scenes in a museum and the huge value of a well maintained and varied archive. This series portrays the incredible breadth of objects that have been collected by, or donated to, The Museum In The Park (based in Stroud, Gloucestershire) over the 120 years since it began its collection in 1899; from the beautiful, to the slightly unsavoury, to the frankly bizarre.
