LOUCHE - Attractive yet unappealing

Exploring silicone within my knitted I was able to blur the lines between beauty and grotesqueness. Dripping the liquid silicone with no control created a sense of movement and fluidty between the silicone and my knitted samples. When dried, it changed the surface of my knit in an unappealing yet attractive way. The unexpected feel of the silicone can be a way to evoke contemplation in the viewers, making them question if the matierals work well together, if it is an attractive fabric to them, and the meaning behind the unusal combination of siliocne and knitted samples.
