In 2017 I was given the role of Social Media Secretary in my university's LGBT+ association.
Above is the old logo, and my first assignment was to rebrand the association to make it more modern.
Tried and Failed Logos
I kept in constant contact with the chair of the LGBT+ Association who gave me guidance in what he wanted the rebranding to look like. We took it to a poll with committee and the polygonal pattern won, so we expanded and elaborated on that design.
This pattern is used in the background of banners, posters and other media. The background colour can be focused on one of the six colours of the gradient and the opacity of the polygonal pattern can be decreased to make it more subtle.
