An escape can be physical or psychological. Escapes can happen physically between spaces or perhaps escaping, mentally, into a private moment. The task was to work alongside a host system, devise and rehearse a plan of action and then complete a seamless escape concluding the project.
I decided to become my alter ego Lynda to escape my own reality. This idea arose from a parcel I received a year ago addressed to Lynda Hunt, which caused me to question…who is this Lynda?
I gave her life through selling parts of Lydia off and crowd sourcing Lynda’s traits through a clinical system. This enabled me to build up an emotional and physical portfolio for the new being, systematically removing Lydia from the world over the 3 week period.
