M.i.h Jeans - Press Invites

Conceptually interpreting the mood of the SS16 collection, whilst taking in account bugeting and abiding brand guidelines to create a series of invites and vouchers for M.i.h Jeans press events in London and New York. Graphically communicating mood in its simplest, most raw form was the aim to achieve the unrefined simplicity and spirit of the beatnick culture the collection associates itself with. Inspiration from Mark Rothko’s horizontal bands of colour, reminiscent of nautical stripes and a coastal atmosphere, lead the concept to a simple horizontal brush stroke: attempting to communicate the model-turned-artist inspired collection. Experimentation with paint strokes was included for the digital invitations. As well as a design process, this was also an exercise in experimenting with paper engineering, print finishes and liaising with printers.
