Made in The East End: Our Founder & Creative Director speaks at Pure London SS19

The biggest retail trade show in the whole of the UK takes place twice a year, the go-to event for professionals at every point in the retail supply chain; from production to fibres to finished garments. The perfect audience for Nika Diamond-Krendel, the Founder and Creative Director, to discuss the social sustainability issues close to the heart of the Paradise Row brand. Nika hosted a talk at this event attended by 17,000 visitors on her mission of ‘Reviving London’s Leather Industry’, as well as the sustainable implications of the fashion industry, well attended by an esteemed professional crowd. As Brexit looms and brands consider moving manufacturing closer to home, she discussed why Paradise Row chooses to manufacture in the local community where London’s Leather industry once dominated. She explored the pluses and pitfalls of UK production and how the brand has grown via a more sustainable business model.
