Makeda

We literally live in the internet. 45% of the country is on the internet now, as opposed to less than 8% ten years ago. Data is constantly zipping past us towards our phones, our neighbours laptops, Mauritania etc. We are blissfully unaware of this (and that’s alright for the most part),
What I want to create is a guardian who lives in this realm and has been given a window to reflect back to us how we use the internet (specifically instagram/whatsapp etc). What is privacy in the era of the screenshots? Makeda (Named after the badass rebel queen of Sheba) mocks our outfits and screenshots our conversations without telling us, she transgresses the boundaries of privacy, sometimes in positive ways, other times in negative; leaving us to decide for ourselves what living in the internet should be like.
