Mama G Jollof is a celebration of culture, family & life. Rooted in African Heritage & Culture Jollof rice is a celebrated African staple, originating from the Wollof Kingdom transported across West African countries. It is an African treasure passed through generations with its simple ingredients and authentic spices. I designed the full branding and art direction for African pop up. The graphic identity takes inspiration from Pan african colours specifically the vibrant elements of red, green & yellow It builds with an unstructured, loud backdrop with the word ‘jollof’ highlighted as the signifer for the logo. This reinforces the emphasis of ‘Jollof’ as the main element on the menu and allows Mama G to own the word Jollof The ethos is simple, jollof rice with considered pairings curated for the modern food lover. For the culture exported to the world and beyond, a celebration of heritage, family and authentic West African food.
