Marks & Spencer - 21' Summer Media Experience

  • Elliot Forrister

To showcase the launch of their new SS21 collection during the current UK lockdown, high street stalwarts M&S have created an exciting new interactive media experience in collaboration with creative events specialists Perfect Cartel. Launched in parallel with a touring ‘Mobile Wardrobe’, this compelling digital experience uses illustration and animation to conjure up a quintessentially British spring-summer scene which UK press and media can explore and interact with, whilst previewing the key items that shoppers can look forward to purchasing from their SS21 collection. With this exciting new digital approach M&S have successfully created a genuinely interactive experience for their audience, extending beyond just the digital presentation of content, that so many brands have been experimenting with, during the last 12 months. Instead, visitors to the platform are greeted with an endearing illustrated narrative they can enjoy exploring with autonomy. By seamlessly combining both digital and physical experiences M&S are also the first high street brand to create such an innovative event at this scale during these difficult times. The combination of their new ‘Bring on Brighter Days’ campaign with a collage aesthetic conceived by Italian duo, CIPRIA Studios has created a wonderfully optimistic experience and a perfect solution for overcoming some of the challenges the Pandemic has caused.
