A commercial for the company McWhinney’s. I was brought on board after the shoot, so I started working on the Sound Design from scratch. I created the Sound Design from Sound Libraries and my own recorded Foley. I also worked on the voiceover and I mixed three different length versions of the commercial, the 30 second version being the one intended for television. Although the commercial was initially intended for the internet, McWhinney’s were impressed with the finished product and they wanted to pursue putting the commercial on local television. I read up on television mixing guidelines and specifications, although I was never given the specific channels guidelines I made an attempt at a general television mix so that it would translate well when I played it on a television screen. This exercise allowed me to learn more about loudness metering.
