MELT

MELT is a bright, bold and graphic series of photographic images that explore current critical issues within society. The artist uses a contrast of vibrant pop colours, surreal melting inanimate objects and subtly evocative titles to lead the viewer to call to question the intention of each photograph. Shot in a studio using only paint and coloured backdrops, each object is frozen in time, yet melting away. At a glance this colourful series appears almost playful but upon closer inspection the dripping objects begin to hint at a darker context that lies beneath the surface.
