Our connection with nature severed, we no longer make choices or behave in ways that are sympathetic towards the environment and the wildlife that inhabits it; they are 'other' to us, separate and unknowable. To protect that natural world, save our planet and inspire people to want to act compassionately towards nature and the environment, we must challenge the indoctrinated ideologies of Western society that obscures from us the role we play in the interdependent ecosystem of planet Earth.
Memorial for the Lost Life of Britain mourns the loss of Britain's lost fauna due to the careless endeavours of man. In conjunction with Poor Pigeon, these pieces challenge the shameless bias that many people have for some species over others. Their union emphasises the value of all life and argues that a loss of any part of our natural world should be mourned, whether it is a much loved delicate native plant of Britain or a commonplace, 'verminous' pigeon,
