mesdames opulentiae

  • Linda Caracciolo Borra / Orbac

During Rinascimento most prominent families used to call established artists of that time to portrait their family members in order to celebrate their opulence and their social relevance. In mesdames opulentiae this pomposity of being takes place by subverting the idea of a the rinascimental portrait in order to celebrate a specific person. Every woman here becomes a sort of surrealistic imaginary goddess with a specific role within an idealistic world.
