Micromobility-Scooter Analysis

  • James O'Brien

We assisted in the study of identifying the opportunities and constraints regarding e-scooter parking within the Greater London Area. This was done through creating visualisations and performing a variety of analysis to aid in achieving the study’s context and goals. A weighted site suitability analysis was created, to help understand the variability across the Greater London area, when combining 5 key variables, including Population Density, Proximity to key infrastructures and areas, and existing Public Transport accessibilities. Catchment analysis was also used to highlight how implementing e-scooters into London’s expansive modes of transport, would aid in coverage of public transport accessibility. This gave the study visual and statistical conclusions to the accessibility gaps, and how e-Scooters could plug them.
