Kate founded MOTHER Magazine in 2012. MOTHER is an independent publication promoting rare arts and fashion content from Japan and the world. Four volumes of MOTHER have been released from 2012 - 2015. MOTHER print Volumes are produced to the highest standards in a limited edition of 1000 copies worldwide. Featured in only the finest boutiques, galleries and independent art bookstores, such as Dover St Market, Colette Paris, Opening Ceremony, Tsutaya Daikanyama Tokyo + Tate Modern.
The MOTHER signature aesthetic encompasses photography, fashion, movement, art and architecture. The look is minimal, advanced, clean, expensive. MOTHER is published as an object, and designed to be tactile. If our encounters with print are rare, paper should be heavy, permanent, beautiful. MOTHER’s visual integrity and commitment to aesthetic discipline sets the publication ahead of and apart from the mainstream.
