Motion Graphics meets Print Design

Inspired by upcoming trends in Motion Graphics, a colourful and intriguing new approach to visual animation design, The Mesmerising Metropolis is film created to showcase the merging of surface pattern design and animated graphics.
I have ventured into the world of Motion Graphics for my Masters Final Collection which has become an exciting passionate obsession of mine. This project allowed me to further delve into combining colour, print and movement, The City is a series of short pictures which compliments the final Fashion Film.
Using the theme of perspective I have combined my fashion prints with motion graphic manipulations to create innovative animations which suggest the environments and engagements found within an urban cityscape. Based around a narrative of ‘The City’.

I combined the uses of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Aftereffects to achieve this goal. By using After Effects my prints have transformed into original and experimental moving patterns inspired by the engagements and shapes found when travelling through an urban cityscape.

I showcased a series of clips as part of my graduate collection, at The Summer Shows 2017, on 20th May, at Swansea College of Art. However you can also see more of my motion graphics on Vimeo

I will also be showcasing this collection at New Designers 2017 held in Lonodn this June.
